History of the Dry Dock Hotel

Established in 1857 the Dry Dock is the oldest licensed hotel in Balmain. It originally serviced the workers from the Dry Dock at Mort Bay (opposite the hotel) and remains a favourite for many local Balmain residents.

Historic photographs adorn our walls, creating and enhancing the Balmain atmosphere. The older style of the pub has been retained for a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Come and enjoy this piece of Sydney history!
